I'm actually interested in NEW firmware. It's closing in on a month since the last release for firmware or app. Release cycle slowing down (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but I'd be intrigued to know what they are working on.
I'd argue that pilot concentration span would be the limiting factor (unless multiple pilots).
Be hard to say that you could focus with the required level of attention on a quad for 2 hours I would think.
It's interesting actually. I've seen quite a few threads on here discussing causes, and possible prevention methods, for stress fractures but not a lot of threads complaining that they have stress fractures (in comparison to the other issues).
I'm going to go hunting for them as I've missed...
Ironically one way to confirm stick issues would be to turn the controller off. If return to home worked then it was faulty controller signals. Issue with that is if it was NOT that then you wouldn't be able to manually correct so I personally wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude :-)

A picture of the damage would help assess options. Little cautious by the "Had trouble with flight yesterday, crashed but no damage." comment. Greatly increases the chances that something went awry during crash 1 causing crash 2.
Losing signal AND suddenly crashing simultaneously sounds like...
You've changed the title, however quite frankly:
"Is that what it takes before someone with half a brain realizes a Phantom 3 with Firmware 1.2.6 currently is able to drop from the sky right on a infant in a stroller being pushed through the local public park?"
Is not a start to a thread, or a...
Not atti mode, just pushing the stick into the wind.
The p3 was capable of beating that wind (what little flying I did do was upwind for that very reason) but it was quite strong.
That left me with either that the self-hover had a lower maximum angle of attack than the sticks or I happened to...
Shameful waste this afternoon. Took off from Williamstown in Melbourne Aus and it was the perfect time and location. Just before sunset, lots of small yachts in the foreground, looming snaking bridge to the left, cbd skyline across the bay straight in front.... But it was too windy.
I made the...
I'm just about to pick up my first spare battery from metrohobbies. Yay!
My other battery order just landed in Melbourne from the USA so they raced nicely.
I ended up paying a silly premium to get battery shipped from instore US.
It's in Chicago. Should be here early next week.
Also have a preorder at metrohobbies.com.au in Melbourne who are close to having stock.
I got some quick release prop guards from the states to Melbourne.
Never used them, and unlikely to to be honest.
