P3 rotor blades - how long before changing?

I would agree with you on the Hubsan, you go thru props super fast flying indoors, or letting other fly it into walls and objects. Then again thats why you buy a cheap small quad for that exact reason. It's always funny doing a little 'demo' flight to show someone how to use it then handing...

Who's is selling the P3A-P for Mavik

I agree with you, I will keep the P3A for now and see if they do an update with a better camera. The footage from Mavic seems like a step backwards. However it might be the pre-release versions, but all the footage I have seen remind me of the Parrot drone, all blurry and washed out. It...

    Mavic Release Discussion

I feel bad for the backers of the Lily drone who spent $500 and still have no drone 2 yrs later. I remember people sending me the link, saying how it was going to be better then my P2. Well turns out that DJI released a whole lot of better drones before Lily got anything out the door. It...

    GoPro Karma Release

Well you seem to be lucky with them too. I had a few that I had to send back, mostly for heat issues and defective USB connectors that seemed to break pretty easily. Though GoPro was really good about getting an RMA and doing the replacement (even if it was with an refurb'ed product).

    Cases?

That looks pretty good and you can keep the props on. I found this video of someone using it. However it's not really standard size for carry on. They sort of fudge the sizing to make it look close. Standards are 22 x 14 x 9. If you look closely it's really 25 x 20 x 9. An agent not...

    Cases?

As carry-on, for sure, I'm not sure that I would check my hardcase backpack. Also you have to bring your lipo's as carry-on anyways, you can't check-in Lipos. I don't think there are many Pelicase type hardcases that would fit as handluggage anyways.

    Real estate shoot charge?

I recall talking to someone who wanted to start doing it professionally and they charged was based on a 'Per battery' rate which was interesting. They did have 4 or 5 batteries and two or 3 chargers so that they could continually shoot all day, non-stop if the location had a power hookup but it...

    Cases?

Same thing with my P2 and P3. The hardcase was great for taking it in the car or so but usually would ditch it and put everything I needed in backpack and fit the drone in too. Way too difficult to take a hardcase (non-trolly version) anywhere that required some walking. The hardcase looks...

Help adding a rc servo to operate micro spray tank

Define how much it would need to hold. You might want to check out the firefighting drone that FlightTest built : Though if you are hitting only weeds it would make more sense to have it point straight down and hover over to spray. Much more practical and accurate. However that would never...

Soon to be new owner phantom 3 advanced

Hit the record button before you take off. A number of times I would get it up in the air and with all the things going on I would forget to start recording until half way thru or till the end of the flight. You can always cut or delete boring footage, but only if you recorded something in the...

    Phantom 3 virgin here!!

Looks like DJI just dropped pricing on the P4, and added some deals with extra batteries. I wonder if people were still buying the P3 line since it was at a great price for performance and features.

    Phantom 3 virgin here!!

Auto discharge was the biggest for me from a P2, those didn't discharge automatically and would be ready more often. Now I'm finding I'm checking and charging before flying. Also the distance, the P3A with Lightbridge seems so solid connection so far away, however what annoys me is the...

    Folding props

Just get a Manfrotto backpack that allows you to close up the entire thing with the props off or has a compartment to have the props on and sticking out of the back of the backpack. This looks like it's in 'ready' to use state or 'travel' mode. Aviator drone backpack for DJI Phantom As for the...

    P3A 1st flight - observations from a Bebop 2 pilot

Totally forgot about that, still use to the P2 controller that didn't have any of those functions. Thanks

    P3A 1st flight - observations from a Bebop 2 pilot

This is what DJI needs to add to the app. A few times it switches to camera mode, I hit record and find out after the flight I took one picture during take off, no video. I know it should be on the checklist during the initial hover but those using a phone, some of these are small and not so...
