This is what I shot from my Phantom from a few blocks away. I was flying over unpopulated areas. Overall it didn't turn out that bad.

This is a very cool video and I'll bet is was fun to shoot with your kids running around. Nothing like a big brother helping his little sister over a fallen tree. Nice job.

A few weeks ago I lost sight of my DJI Phantom while doing some high altitude footage of my neighborhood. Convinced that it was lost for good until I found it hovering over my house. The RTH feature really worked! Watch and see...
As a result of this footage, I was contacted by another producer who wants to do a positive story on the use of drones by recreational flyers. We talked for 30 minutes and she will be shooting with me next week. It will be nice to get some good media attention.

I will give you the fact thatfootage like this is worth something to the TV stations. However, I work with the media in my regular job and was doing this on my own time. I have to be very careful when it comes to working with the local media and if that means throwing them a bone...
So we had major flooding this morning. I took the Phantom out to see what I could capture. Turned out one of the local news stations wanted the footage and an interview. I called it a helicopter so I didn't have to get into the whole "drone" issue.
