20% less power really shouldn't effect range that much. Antenna sensitivity has a much more profound effect. Did you know you have to increase output power 4x to double range? It follows the inverse square law. Inverse-square law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Something not mentioned is that the lower bitrate gives you increased range. A small consolation. :D

I did 18 holes in 2009. But with a fixed wing aircraft.

It was breezy but my phantom handled it no sweat.

I am also having this problem with my iPad mini 2. It seems that it is really heating up and the iPad is throttling back to compensate. The 2.7k taken from the phantom memory card is perfect.

Another POI test. It is very very cool. Make sure and select 1440p.

To operate poi fly directly above the point you want to circle. You mark the spot on your tablet. Then you pull away from that spot to adjust how far away from that point you will circle. Then adjust altitude making sure you are above the tallest object. It then has you select return to home...

I didn't calibrate anything. It flew great just as it did before.

I did a test flight of about 10 minutes flying circles around my house in poi mode. The 2.7 video looks amazing. I did notice a bit of jerkiness in my downlink video that wasn't there before. Ill need to fly more to see if its really an issue.
