If you have opened Go 4 and don't force close it before using Litchi, you may either not be able to connect or (worse) you may have control issues during flight.

Are you sure to always force close any other drone apps, including Go 4, prior to using Litchi?

As Meta4 says, the cellular IPads have a GPS. That's important to me since I also use the IPad for ground structure photos, and for my purposes, these must be geo-tagged, which the cellular enabled IPad pro 9.7 provides. It also has a 12 megapixel camera, but that's another story.

I am running the latest Android and IOS versions of Litchi on my P4P with older firmware and I'm having no problems at all. I also run a P4 with the same tablets and have no trouble there, either.

I fly my P4 regularly with what I believe to be the latest versions of Litchi, and have had no problems at all. I have version 4.1.2 for Android, and 2.1.1 for IOS.

I also fly with an IPad Pro 9.7, but I bit the bullet for the cellular version (Verizon data plan was only $10 in addition to what I already pay) so I could have GPS and maps in the field without having to cache.

Tested it today. After a 2.4 mile round trip, the P4P went right back to waypoint 1 and then hovered as the tablet announced "mission ended". No problems and no drift.

I'll set up a mission with back to 1 as the last action and see what happens. May be a day or two before I get a chance, though.

Have you used LItchi? My experience has been that it is much easier to use than DJI Go, and much more reliable as well. I've never had it crash, which I cannot say about DJI Go. Not to mention the excellent waypoint, orbit and panorama features that Litchi provides.
