We fly 2 P4P, we have never been able to zoom. The only way to get it to zoom is to turn on Manual Focus Assistant and then turn and hold the focus down which will temporarily give you a digital zoom.
We use the Ultra Bright, we have 4, two have been replaced so far but the replacements are working. If you do a side by side, there is a noticeable and distinct difference in brightness. That being said, the high bright is extremely bright compared to anything other than an ultra bright.
Sorry, I read your post incorrectly. It would not work with a Phantom 4 PRO+ controller, you have to use 2 Inspire 2 Remotes. You pair one of the I2 remotes to the Phantom 4 Pro and then set the second I2 controller as a slave to the first one. Your P4P+ controller is not used and cannot be work...
Everyone gives us California LEO's a hard time.....until you want to fly a UAS over a scene, or search a car in the field, or not release body cam videos. Then all of a sudden, it's "wish I had it as good as those California cops"!
Also, as a good discussion point, 471' is above take off point, not necessarily AGL. The 400' "limit" only applies to Part 107 operations, is AGL and hobbyists are exempt from it. So I would go calling a FSDO quite yet!
Sooooooo.....one of my pilots was out doing some training today and his CS Ultra flickered and then the screen went dead and it won't power back on. Two weeks old. Such is life with new DJI products.
