Looks to me like you have distortion in your lens from a manufacturing defect or a hard knock. I dropped a (really, really, painfully expensive) lens 8" onto concrete and the housing bent, pushing something out of alignment. Now it's wavy in one of the corners.

Where I live in the US it's illegal to discharge a weapon within 500 yards of another occupied building - so you might want to check into that also.

In my experience the visa insurance will pay out only if you can prove you have no other insurance like renters, homeowners or business. It works, but they make you jump through hoops.
