Rules about flying in the U.K

I personally would stay well clear of filming of a wedding with little or no experience. Whilst these things are super stable in GPS mode imagine if you lost GPS and to fly it manually, whilst you would still have a barometer helping you keep altitude you would drift in the prevailing wind...

HUNGARIAN AIRPORT REFUSE DRONES TO BE TAKEN ON BOARD AS CARRY ON LUGGAGE

Hi Neil. Nice to know as I travel to Hungary regularly and wouldn't mind taking a quad. Can you update us as I'd love to know what the outcome was?

    Filming football.

That's presuming the drone is only ever going to be flown over people wearing protective gear.......how about coaches or spectators? I know I wouldn't want something weighing 1.3kg hitting me from any height, let alone from some real altitude. I'm pretty sure the general public and those not...

You guys ever do this to practice?

I haven't bought a DJI product yet as I'm doing my research on all the pitfalls and idiosyncracies of the things before taking the plunge but I have flown other similar sized quads and very rarely fly GPS enabled. I think the problem with these things is they are so easy to fly when everything...

    Bag for P3A to fit Ryanair 55cm x 40cm x 20cm

I'm not sure about the dimensions of the Dji bags but the hard shell ones are more than 20cm I think. But I was pondering this recently and travelled with hand luggage only with Ryanair and Jet2 this summer (4 flights in total) and not once did anyone ask to check that my bag was of a certain...

Phantom 3 adv crashed - need your help please

Depends on the build quality but I've heard plenty of stories of them failing mid flight plus if you ever get struck by one your going to know about it. I'd personally stay well clear of them.

Cheaper alternative to the DJI Osmo ?

I've got a Zhiyun smoothie C. It cost me £130 GBP and I'm pretty happy with it. I can't compare to anything else so my opinion is pretty biased but for the cost it's a decent bit of kit. I use it with my S7 Edge but they make them for Gopros. I've taken some pretty cool footage with it. It can...

When I see this...(check out the video then take the poll)

The problem in part is that people don't want or feel the need to prepare themselves for this type of hobby. I saw on another thread a guy asking about the basics on flying his Phantom the day before it arrived. To me you have to have an understanding of what these things can or can't do well...
