    Help finding wifi module

They are no longer produced and sought after. But I would not like to guarantee that (depending on its age) that it is still fully working as they can lose “nand” memory through non use so you could ask more if you prove it is full functional at point of sale. Price wise they have been seen at...

Spinning spiral of death black screen

Thanks for that info. The regular use does seem to work but the power cycle theory is interesting. It could save all that dismantling, re-flashing,replacing etc. It does also explain why sometimes they will not boot up when re-flashing.

Well done. It is very pleasing to do your own fix. I too am monitoring the causes of this problem and making notes. There is no comprehensive answer yet and we must keep comparing causes and solutions. Keep the old 2s flying.

Did you do the “ping” test ? I also can fix these units or offer an exchange V3 module at present.

Spinning spiral of death black screen

Try this to test your wifi module. Using a PC or tablet log into your Phantom and “ping” 192.168.1.10 If you get a reply to the ping on that address then wifi module is fine. No reply to ping then bottom board needs re-flashing as the nand memory is corrupt. There are many free apps such as...

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

The black screen problem always seems to point to either over heating (obvious burnt circuits in some cases) or faulty nand memory in the lower board. Both refer to the wifi module not the camera.

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

Another thought. if you still get a Comms error and you are convinced your wiring is correct try a different USB to FTD1232 board connector as these are sometimes different or faulty.

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

Looking at you photos your board has just Tx and Rx so connect Tx on board to Rx on wifi then Rx on board to Tx on wifi. Remaining wires are Vcc on board to 5V on wifi and GND on board to left UART pad on Wifi. Have not had chance to look up your board but FTD 1232 as on photo is a USB to...

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

My comms error was caused by TX on wifi going to TXO on USB board when it should got to RXI . Also Tx on wifi should go to RXI on usb board. Look carefully at the diagram. A basic serial comms error which I should not have done. I only remembered this today after looking again at instructions...

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

Hi Are you using DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ Plus Blank Screen Corrupt NAND fix as that is the one I use. I can only suggest you follow exactly that guidance and make sure your connections are correct and well soldered. I had a comms error and that was due to a wrong connection. Do not understand 12v...

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

Only if you live in the USA and have the original camera is what I read in this. Any further progress with the wiring or supplying power to keep the chips alive. I just run my drone up and check 192.168.1.10 in between flights but not sure how often you have to do this. My problem is nothing to...

Solving the black screen FPV (no-live-feed) issue - co-operation needed

I too thought of the battery idea but not the wiring. That would certainly reduce the stress on the module of in and out as well as the shell screws. Would a hole in the case leak rf ? was my only thought. Please keep me informed of any progress you make. Question for more techie members ---...
