What kind of distance did you get when not flying backwards. I have both antennas and have only seen a minor increase in rang around obstacles. In open areas, it was slightly better, but not the miles that some are reporting

I can agree with that. I wish I knew why there are so many large differences in people's test results.

If there is a battery update and all batteries haven't been updated, it's good to keep the firmware on the card. It doesn't hurt anything to leave it there until the next update.

I'm wondering if there is a difference with the latest batch of DBS antennas as most people posting aren't seeing the range previous posters are seeing. I saw a very minor increase in range with mine. In open area with line of sight, barely got past 2 miles before losing signal.

The 4K was from a congested area with no line of site. This flight was in an open area with no blockage. I kept the aim in the same direction I was flying. Couldn't have been too far off. Pretty straight flight.

I removed the old antenna's and verified all connections. I haven't done a test in an open area with the original antenna's, but will see how this now works.
