Do not buy from an RC store. Buy it from somewhere like Best Buy so when you get out of the box and only goes four hundred feet you can take it back and get your money back RC stores will not give your money back they want you to call DJI and send it back to china or wherever the hell it come from.

You're lucky mine goes less than 400 feet and does the same thing. I took it to RC depot and let them fly it and try their tricks nothing helps they said I had to call DJI.

I took it back to RC depot today. They flew it and said yes there is something wrong and I had to call DJI. I said is less than a week though just keep my money back and I'll buy another one somewhere else and you can do it DJI.they would not trade it or give me my money back.

Thanks for the help. I've flown in and many different places and it's always the same range. I am mainly flying over lake Elsinore. It's pretty wide-open.

I bought mine last Saturday and update it before I flew it and I can't get 400 "hundred" feet out of it before is is lost signal in red on top and come back home.

I have a new standard that I bought last weekend. Everything seems to work great but no matter where I fly it it always turns on the return to home mode at about 425 feet away. It says lost RC signal.
