I have been flying around without a gimbal for about 30 flights. Everything works except the screen is dark and I get "No signal". Up side is I get 21 minutes a battery and the bird is more nimble. Atti works too. Try it at altitude and be ready to switch back to P
I don't think any manufacturer posts longevity stats. A lot of the heavy lift drones can fly with a loss of a motor and many are component heavy so weight and balance (and wear) will vary.
I think that if GP's rank and file customers (MX, BMX, snowboarders, rafters etc) were to do a follow me function just about everyone would lose their drones on the first flight to obstacles. Also too big to be a true follow me drone. IMHO
A long time probably. The only thing I would worry about is the gimbal. No issues yet on P3P. 160 hours, 700+ flights and last I checked on #1 battery 200 charges and still max operationally.
I'd say the Karma is pretty impressive out of the gates. Specs look similar to the p3. Cool that the 5 black is now water proof but 33 (1 add'l atmosphere) feet isn't very deep and GP will still make money on cases. Not crazy about the joysticks and don't think they have a moving map which is...
