Due to an unfortunate accident and surgery on my hand last week, I'm selling my Phantom 2 Vision with RotorPixel Gimbal, latest all in one Horizon dual band Black Hawk micro 2.4 GHz & 5.8 GHz 12 dBi antenna kit, and Rotorpixel GimbaI
I just recieved the RotorPixel recently, and have it installed...
Does it shake all the time while powered up, or just when it's position is restricted by contact with ground surface or where ever it is sitting?
If it is shaking any time it is powered up, then there is something holding it from where the gimbal wants to settle in at level. Most likely a tight...
Agreed, I think the system can be improved with better isolation of the Gimbal to the Frame.
I think that by adjusting the thumb screws, all that is being accomplished is tuning the frequency or RPMs that can transfer through to the camera. So there will be resonating frequencies coming...
I think with all the testing that's been done with the thumb screw things, they seem to be a failure for what they were designed to do. There is no way to reduce the rigidity of them short of cutting slots in them. Seems like some sort of super flexible and tough balloon type cushion would have...
Who wants to volunteer to be the RotorPixel crash Dummy? Get a mini Dummy Doll and strap it to the P2V and see how well it survives a high altitude burn in.
Hey Geert, can you tell me which antennas work the best out of these? I only want to do the pilot end antennas.

Thanks
Thanks for sharing. I think that is the best and most stable video I have seen from the P2V with RP Gimbal. You're great on the controls, better than me for sure. It almost looks like you have the 3 Axis instead of a 2 axis.

I still think this is the quality Gimbal to have, and it will be transferable to other frames. It's just sad he doesn't take communication seriously. You can't do business that way and succeed.
I tried that, but it catches the wind too much and makes it very unstable. It works fine on grass. The legs can be spun around to point up to fit in the case. Also, the full length of the skid is dead un-needed weight because I don't land in mud.
