All this research on what $1000 buys has brought me to the conclusion that it's time for me to graduate to the Mavic Pro myself. I just ordered the Mavic Pro Alpine White bundle and should see it by the end of the week. :)

Can you be more specific? What exactly would you buy with the $1000. The Mavic Pro (especially the Platinum) doesn't leave much extra money for any extras. Not very picky. Even the worst camera of all the DJI Drones will be plenty good. Not a factor. So what would be your choice?

If you were able to fly so high and so far away yesterday then I don't think your issue is the new restriction of a 100 ft up and 150 ft away. However, it does sound like the last firmware update screwed up somehow. I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the DJI app. Let us know how...

I have the same issue. I haven't figured it out yet. I'm not sure you posted this in the right place. Maybe an administrator can move to P3S/4k section? In the mean time, hopefully someone has the answer to this. 30 Meter height and 50 Meter distance limit and I'm not in beginner mode...

To my knowledge, the P3S does not come with a Charger for the controller. It comes with a MicroUSB cable for charging, but you need a 3rd party USB Charger to charge it, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say you used the charger that came with it. As for the batteries... they are not...

The controller takes a pretty long time to charge under normal circumstances. Several hours for sure. How long are you giving it and what is the power output of your charger? I'd recommend a 2.0 Amp Charger.

Well, since the seller hasn't answered me yet, I think I will probably fix it myself. 30 seconds on a bench grinder should do the trick. Thanks for your help.
