Hey, can you help a brother out? I ordered both of the Cinema Series sets for my P4 back on 5/11/16 (order confirmation # 2299920122) and now I need to replace the filters because someone decided they needed them more than I do (yes, stolen). So, any help with a discount would be awesome! Thanks
A few pages back in this thread Jeff from Polar Pro answered this question. The Cinema series has a better coating which will cut down on the lens flare. Other than that they are pretty similar (to the Pro set).
Here is a sample from this past weekend where I was using these setting and a ND/PL filter (I was shooting into the sun so I didn't have to worry about the PL shift in the sky too much.

Also I take my white balance off of auto and set it to the appropriate setting (usually daylight). Even if the setting doesn't match the exact lighting conditions it can be corrected in post processing. If you leave it on Auto it will shift mid-stream and that's very difficult to fix in post...
I rarely use Auto-exposure. I set it manually. I try to use ND (or PL/ND) filters to allow me to shoot at 100 ISO and 1/50 shutter speed when shooting at 24fps (1/60 at 60fps, 1/120 @ 60fps and 1/240 @ 120fps). That's ideal, so I try to get as close to that as possible. I set the color to...
Most of this is assuming you are shooting video. Still photography has many of the same issues but you'll be able to use the PL filters more than in video because stills do not show the shifting PL effect like video does. The issue with video is that the changes in the polarization effect is...
That's what I do. I almost always shoot in 24fps. Only on those times when I'm looking for an "action" look will I switch to 30fps.

Sorry, I should have read the original question more closely. 24fps will always look "smoother" than 30fps. Think of 24fps as sweeping vista scenes and 30fps as action scenes.
My opinion is... If you can only have one or the other then go with the non-PL ND filters. There are times when the PL can give you a strongly shifting intensity (luminance) in the sky as the camera turns. ND filters are constant in that regard.
Is there a comparison somewhere between the PolarPro Pro 6 Filter set and the PolarPro Cenima filters? Is there a visible difference that makes the extra $ worthwhile? I'm trying to decide which set to order for my P4.
P.S. I'm sold on PolarPro as I bought the 32ND PL for a trip to Miami and...
I'm wondering if many of the folks who are experiencing "issues" with their P4 are having issues other than something that is specific to the P4 itself. Things like... Are they shooting at 24 frames a second? Are they using ND filters to get the shutter speed down to @ 1/50 second? Are they...
