the 8 mega pixel camera on an iphone 5 is superior than the 12 mega pixel of a gopro hero 3 black edition? i think not. even if you got the silver edition of the gopro, the stills are 11 mega pixel. the lens is also bigger on the gopro, so that generally equates to better picture quality over...
don't know about other manufacturers, but i have a futaba 8j. i use one tx to control both my phantom and an F550. all i needed to purchase was the initial tx/rx and an additional rx for the second craft. the models are linked to the profiles i set up with my tx. it's great to be able to fly...
you definitely have jello caused by vibrations. I would double check the balance of your props and motors. I've bought a couple of "pre-balanced" props before, only to have to balance them myself. the places we buy our props from will get it close enough, but that's not good enough to...
stable videos is as much an art when flying the phantom as it is when holding a video camera. if you have eliminated the jello effect caused by known vibration from the motors (prop included), and you have a gimbal that is not servo based, then it comes down to your flying. I've been flying...
Sorry for the confusion. It is just the roll that is doing that. I can control the tilt perfectly.
As for the check box thingies which software are you talking about? And where do I find these boxes?
ok. tried the calibration for the gimbal. it works. and then i plug a battery into the phantom and the problem persists. it looks like the phantom is sending it a signal to do that pitchthing. at any rate, only happens when i have the gimbal plugged into the DJI IMU. I don't know if this makes...
The IMU and GPS alone would set you back about $380. Throw in about $50 for ESC and another $300 for a TX / RX combo. You can buy the stock TX but don't know if you can get the RX anywhere. Basically it would be better for you to get a brand new RTF unit.
EDIT: oh and I forgot you also need to...
this was probably posted somewhere already, but i can find it so i'm putting this up.
the problem i am running into is that the gimbal is not staying level. for some reason, after a while the gimbal end up a position as if the phantom is making a steep left banking turn. it doesn't happen...
Agreed! That definitely is not the internals of a Phantom. You can search on line to find them but it would be much less a headache to buy a brand new unit from a reputable distributor.
I know for a fact iPhones does not have a real GPS unit built in. It uses cell tower signals to triangulate your position Don't know about the garmon though.
Also don't forget that the golden gate is a national icon so I would be vary cautious of flying a phantom around there. Specially with all of the negative hype on anything "drone".
