that is because the video you're seeing is taken at the same Frames per second that the rotors rotate. It's taking a bunch of pictures at once. if you were to look at video of the phantom, it might look like the the props aren't moving.
Same effect happens when people video cars with LED...
Looks like the battery got knocked out.
I hope the Hawk is okay. Maybe he just hit the prop guards. The rotors really could have taken that birds leg off :(
I flew at the neighborhood park yesterday. I was in the park, but up pretty high most of the time. There were a bunch of kids that came over and were crowding my screen. Most of the time I was in the air, I was just hovering because I couldn't see my FPV. A few of the kids wanted me to fly...
I dont' know what the difference is except that different countries use different settings in their devices. I can't tell which is better in terms of quality or signal. Maybe someone will chime in.

Is the monitor screen image "flipping" or "flickering"? Make sure you set it(Blue Pearl) to NTSC and not PAL. Mine hooked up out of the box was set to PAL and it was unusable that way. I could see the image, but it was flipping so fast It wasn't worth flying like that.
