Don't get me wrong. I thought it was cool that they flew over my house, and gave me the chance to buy the photo. I'm just trying to grasp what the existing laws mean to drones and me. Using this similar thing as a tool.

I'm no expert....just seeing some laws/restrictions about aerial photography, amd i'm curious...a few years ago, i get a knock on the door, I answer, to find a gal selling a framed photo of my house....no permission to fly over, or photograph my home....just did it, developed it, framed it, and...

so, if the device is permanently influencing the here and now of the quad....not "something in the neighborhood", it will become part of the programming. nice.,thank you. makes sense.

I thought I saw some videos saying don't calibrate the compass near a cell phone....what about the DroneMods UAVLocator? Isn't that just a phone mounted to the Phantom? Or...am I misunderstanding.

I sent a new email, and asked if drone mod could test the unit by callng it themselves. if they get the text, I will be stunned and amazed. If they don't, maybe it needs reconfigured? I hope it's something easy. I'm ready to fly.

I adjusted the settings to take a photo every 5 seconds like you suggested. thanks! But...where does it put them? After i stop recording, I only see a video in the saved folder. No stills. I am viewing the saved media using my ipad app.

do i turn wifi back on, and use the app?

Perfect. about How long will it record? I have 64gb Extreme microSD card. Then when I land, is there a quick painless way to download the video to my ipad or phone?

Ok. So I got everything mounted and working. FPV shows up on monitor when I power up the drone. Do I just push the shutter button when I'm ready to fly, and record the whole flight, and push it again upon landing? Or what?

I don't have to worry about that in Oklahoma. Want to trade locations?

I actually had all my stuff for a week or so, so I guess Santa brought me courage. iOSD mini, immersionrc transmitter, Black Pearl monitor...Opened up the body and got everything hooked up and functioning! Hardest part was matching the frequency. Now, if I could just get the DroneMods UAV...
