The camera is zipping around because the gimbal motor is trying to level itself, which it does when in flight. It's switching to ATTI Mode because your obstructing the gps, as the poster above mentioned - gps is on the top. It's normal.

Some people have had range issues with the latest firmware and some have been fine. Your call, but I would say just hold off on the update at least until the new one rolls out, which should be soon.

I have been using it since Thursday and have not had any negative issues, it resolved my range and connection issues and RTH works just as it should as well as all the flying modes etc... Nothing seems buggy or has a feeling of "being worked on" It's been great for me.

As far as I know, as of right now nothing official has been released

I decided to just install the firmware, and take the chance. No issues with the install. I can report : Prior to this firmware, using 1.6.8 - I was only able to achieve about 900-1000FT across from my house overtop the golf course, I live in a very crowded area so Its understandable my range...

Same thing that was going on with mine. I had to re-do the IMU and compass a handful of times, eventually it worked, not sure why - but it did. I know it sucks.

Is it giving you a Compass error while attempting to fly? I had a similar issue not long ago, I re-calibrated over and over in the same spots I did in the past and for some reason, the same spot was not working out anymore. Re-do your IMU, making sure its 100% level, use a level to ensure it...

Maybe I'll hold off, I see there was an Adv/Pro official firmware released (yesterday?), so Im going to assume this one is right around the corner, especially with the updated App.

Understood - appreciate the link! I want to see if this fixes some range issues as well. Even with the DBS Mod installed, Im not achieving what I should be with the standard.

How does someone go about installing this?
