    Removing landing gear covers

Has anybody figured out how to remove the plastic covers that are on the inside of the landing gear up against the drone that must be removed to unscrew the landing gear without tearing up both the covers and the landing gear? There is an older thread concerning a hunt for a source of...

    P4 Landing Gear Replacement

The silicone is not completely necessary, although it does help keep everything in place once the connectors are snapped together. One thing you might find helpful is that when you connect the flat four-wire cables to the two legs that have the sensors, the end of the cable that connects to the...

Metal quick release locks for Phantom 4

There is an older thread around here somewhere discussing metal prop mounting hardware that is sold for the P4. Not a single person reported having any issues with the stock plastic parts. The general consensus was that it made no sense to convert to the metal mounting hubs for a host of reasons.

FS: ItElite MaxxRange Antenna Full Kit for P4

Great, thanks. I sent you a note. SPF

So how do you guys set and treat your batteries?

10 days here--the max allowed. I have 3 batteries and fly often. I don't worry at all about a battery being fully charged for 2 or 3 days. I would be a lot more concerned about wanting to fly and all my batteries are at 50% because I left them there.

    Operating P4 in Rain

Yes. You were not at the actual FAA site. You were at some rip off site that was designed to look like the FAA site. For your $25, they get your information and do what you can do yourself in five minutes on the real website.

    P4 Lost; Help please.

The OP lost his P4 and comes here looking for answers to a question. This is such a helpful response.

So who's dumping their P4 for Mavic?

I fly with a Trackimo and I am not sure about the ability to mount one on the Mavic. I also use a GetterBack when flying over water and I like using an iPad mini for a screen. Finally, I use an Itelite MaxxRange antenna panel from Jake and do some distance flights. I know the Mavic reportedly...

    Thoughts on GoPro Karma?

One thing we do know for sure about the Mavic--it will be a new product that comes with dji's legendary (infamous) comittment to customer service. I don't own a GoPro so I have no idea what their customer service is like. Hopefully an improvement on dji.

Phantom 4 Help motor noise help

I agree with everything said above. Also, my back left motor is warmer to the touch than the other three. It has been that way since new. I consider it normal.

Someone close to me need help

I would avoid sending my drone in for warranty if I could. DJI reserves the right to send a refurbished unit rather than repair one that is sent in, and there is no telling what condition the drone was in or how many flights it had before it was refurbished. No, thank you.

    Why does RTH height matter?

I just always set mine to 150m. Better safe than sorry.

    RTH Height

Makes sense--you're right. What I have observed is that there are times when I disconnect, but the increase in altitude allows me to re-establish contact before the drone climbs all the way to 150m, at which point I can stop the climb.

    RTH Height

Are you sure? I think you are wrong, but it could be me who is wrong. I believe any time your P4 is climbing in RTH mode, pulling the left stick stops the climb and the drone simply starts home. There is nothing that distinguishes why you are in RTH mode.
