You are right, the new costumer gear VR has a connector but its for charging the phone only

Alright I see what you are talking about now. although if we try to connect directly to the RC through the USB cable, isn't the Consumer Gear Vr USB cable charging only? my question is the hole we need to drill is on the other side of the normal occulus connector correct and fit the device...

Hello Alok, thanks for your reply and recomendation although if you connect the phone through USB cable, you are unable to place the phone into the gear VR because of lack of space. How do you create a WIFI connection to mirror the image? is that even posible?

Doesn't explain where to drill a whole or what usb port to remove, like how do you remove the USB port on the gear VR? as far as the gear VR USB plug it's only for charging, no data transfer from there

Hey guys, the thing is that when you set up the phone on the gear VR it plugs in so there you can't plug in the RC to your phone and put in the gear VR as there isn't enough space.. (I guess the mod is the drilling on the other side to be able to connect it and still hold it)
