The cable feeds data into the camera unit. The camera unit contains the camera and the wifi. The video and telemetry data are sent by the wifi. You can modify the android app to separate the telemetry data to a file, it's not overlaid on the video feed. Replacing the camera would be tricky...

Or just mod the app and store all the gps and control data -- there's no encryption.

Interesting -- the 5.8 helical inside the 2.4... So -- do you have impedance plots and radiation patterns for this dual? Be interesting to see how the antennas interact.

Did RP publish the promised ship list then? Just for fun I mounted a PV camera on a cheap tarot gimbal (less than $100) - it balanced up and drives fine. I just need to get around to sorting out the tilt input, which should be fairly straightforward.

Well, today is an important test -- the ship list that was promised "this week" I think I read? There's no reason for RP not to do that. If I had one on order I think I'd be worried with the only contact from the company having gone away for several weeks, and a simple target (the list) not met.
