Fly-away with crash. Plenty of info - please help - grounded :(

Hi Milnei, take a closer look at your GPS antenna. You say "10 sats disappear to 0 and control is difficult...." which might point to a GPS related problem. People reported about cracked GPS antennae. However, you may want to replace it. Just a few bucks... Just my thoughts. Matt

    P2 Gimbal Advice Wanted

Hi, you can mount a Walkera G-3D gimbal on you P2. Google for 'walkera g3d phantom' you'll find two instruction videos: HTH

Culprit found for no video on FPV

The anti-interference board shall keep RF signals induced by the gimbal away from the NAZA flight controller. So, you do have an iOSD signal but no camera feed? If so, which camera is it? If GoPro, are you using the miniUSB connector?

    iosd mini not connecting

Hi Chris, are you using "DJI iOSD Assistant Software 4.0"?

    Phantom or Naza?

I think you are asking about the modes the assistant software can be switched in. Phantom mode is for beginners; less options to modify. Naza mode has more values you can change and offers course lock / home lock modes to fly.

    Phantom Not Starting

Are you in GPS mode? If so, red-green blinking means that your P2 is searching satellites. If less than 5 satellites are locked in, your P2 will not start. You may want to - change to ATTI mode and check whether you can start, or - stay in GPS mode and count exact sequence of red - green.

Thought I had a fly away - RTC

Nice video! Hovever, a clover-leaf antenna is omnidirectional in the horizontal plane only. In the vertical plane, it shows two minimums at 0 deg and 180 deg, see here. With a diversity receiver, probably you will not run into problems.

Getting a battery that last longer

Hi Michael, there has been said much about aftermarket batteries. Some work, some do not. Be aware that DJI is trying to keep other battery manufacturtes off it's competition, so P2 firmware updates are trying to identify aftermarket batteries and if identified, your P2 just will refuse to lift...

Thought I had a fly away - RTC

Hi Jason, the cloverleaf antenna has a minimum reception at 0 deg and 180 deg from main axis. By mounting it the way you show on your pic it seems to point to the direction of the P2 with it's signal minimum. Only helical or flat antennae should point to the tx, while a cloverleaf shall be held...

Gimbal problems after getting a new compass

Hi Sammygoat, you give little information about your setup. I guess your gimbal is a Zenmuse? The Phantom compass does not affect the gimbal. The Zenmuse has it's own controller and the movement is controlled from a dedicated gyrosensor in the gimbal, not from a compass. In general, Zenmuse is...

    Noisy FPV feed

Hi teslar, changing band / channel has little effect. What you might look at first is: - type of antennae (both LHCP / RHCP?) - mounting of tx antenna? In general, changing the rx antenna into a directional type will give you much better signal. Most recommended is either flat or helix. Observe...

    Phantom 2 (v1) or F450

Hi Mike 2015, i am flying both the P2 (with Zenmuse gimbal + GoPro3+), and the F550 (with Walkera G3-D gimbal and the same GoPro3+). I can tell that the two drones address different people. While the P2 is a ready-to-fly piece with little you can do on your own, the F450/550 is just a kit of...

    Uncontrolled Descent . Help Please.

Just one thought: I had the same problem then i figured out that the voltage indicated in my FPV was changing and looked very unstable. The reason i found was a poor connection at the two signal contacts. Look inside the shell you will se two gold plated spring loaded bars, there are the data...

    BATTERY WARNING!!!!!!

Best way is to have FPV with OSD which has a voltage indicator!

Anyone run this 5.8Ghz fpv antenna combo

Yes sorry for being not very acurate in words... It doesn't matter if LHCP or RHCP as long as tx and rx side have the same orientation.
