Without flir the footage needs to be examined much more closely and something under a tree is impossible to see. Plus with the batter life issues flir would make it much more efficient for scanning areas quickly because they can be studied for a shorter period of time Sent from my iPhone...

My case carried on fine on the smaller planes (domestic) it fit under the seat in front of my and on the international flights it fit above my head only on the side stows

It's funny i was just looking at my old posts and found this amazing thing is that now i have a hero 4 black and it actually does work as long as the camera is recording. I have a video but i'm in Switzerland right now so my upload speed is terrible. I can guarantee it works

My red one is great. Plus if i crash it shouldn't be to hard to find especially in the snow!

Hey i just got my gopro hero 4 black in the mail today and tested it myself. It seems that when the gopro is recording the video comes through the 30pin which is awesome because i can never forget to hit record before i take off.

No problem it has been great so far. Can easily cut spots for your own stuff with a hot knife.
