    P2V+, Like New, Extras...SOLD

Going back to my fixed-wing roots. I bought the Phantom to shoot one particular project...and that project is now complete. So, before I turn to eBay, I'll give the good people of this helpful forum first dibs on my lil' flying girl. I'd prefer to make a face-to-face transaction somewhere near...

Walkera TALI H500. What you think?

I'll let you know as soon as I get back from my business trip. My new H500 (Carbon black :-) ) arrived yesterday. (Another reason to keep up good relations with your neighbors. You never know when you'll need them to safeguard your new toy while you're away!)

    Do others share these concerns?

You've spent your $1300. What's the difference if you don't fly it because you crashed it, or don't fly it because you're afraid of crashing it? Just me meticulous in your flying and preflight.

    newbie with first scary experiences...

There are surprisingly few academic studies on quad-rotor aerodynamics. I've only found a few. Most are doctoral thesis using Stanford's STARMAC platform....and are quite mathematics-intensive. I've found more published wind-tunnel research done on soccer balls than on quad-rotors. Pretty...

    Chewed up propellers

That's why I included "human remains' in my list of potential contaminants.

    Chewed up propellers

For cripe's sake! Throw them away!!! I've seen full-size helicopters brought down by 1/16 inch of contamination on the outer three feet of the blades. While I'm ranting....clean your blades, people. Bugs, dirt, grass stains, human remains....a little windex on a paper towel would probably solve...

    Need help upgrading/modding.

Honestly, you're describing a completely different vehicle. By the time you finish all the mods that provide you what you want, you will have something resembling a Spreadwings! The Brits have a great phrase: "Fit for purpose". The Vision+ simply doesn't sound like the aircraft you need. It's...

    newbie with first scary experiences...

One thought of something to try.... Hover just above the ground. As close to the ground as possible without touching it. Ideally, less than one rotorblade length. If your aircraft still wobbles while in ground effect, you can eliminate any sort of VRS. (Personally, I think VRS gets a lot more...

    Indiana quads?

Well, chuddly, how 'bout a weekend fly date? Try a sort of "If you build it, they will come." I'd be happy do donate a cooler full of beer or some BBQ. Maybe a little drone fishing contest? Timed balloon popping course. Obstacle course? (I'm just brain storming here for ideas besides flying...

DJI may have a REAL problem on their hands

Well...I became a two-drone guy last night. A Carbon Black Tali is on its way from Seattle. I'll put it through its paces for a month or two and then, probably, sell either the new bird or the P2V+. I like that nothing on the Tali costs more than $150 to replace, and I can swap gimbals to mount...

    Props needed..

Gotta call bunk on the temperature issue. It's 93 degrees here now (~35C). Rubbery? No. Considering the props are made from the same plastic as the body, which is exposed to even higher temps (ambient plus operational heat generation)...well...the evidence simply doesn't support the claim of...

    1st flight destruction

Pyro... Check for a nicked prop. A small nick, especially near the tip, can make quite a bit of noise.
