Gimbal malfunctioning after minor crash, video still working

I agree. This is the main reason I decided to service it myself. It is inevitable that drones will crash, and I will now be in a MUCH better position to do my own repairs most of the time, saving me money and also preventing me having to wait days or weeks for a professional to fix it for me...

Gimbal malfunctioning after minor crash, video still working

Sounds very much like the camera ribbon cable and landing gear need to be completely replaced. You can order both parts online. Installing the new landing gear is not too difficult, although removing the screw that secures it to the body is rather awkward. Replacing the ribbon cable is a rather...

Gimbal malfunctioning after minor crash, video still working

So sorry to see this. Also sorry that I have not replied until now (I honestly didn't see the post until today). I hope you have worked it out, but the advice I would have offered was to get the camera ribbon cable replaced.

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

So you think most people wouldn't use RTH on signal loss? Interesting. You could be right. However, while I can see why professionals with extra GPS tracking support might not care, I would have assumed for the average drone pilot, there would be not much worse (apart from crashing) than signal...

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

I can see that it would be advantageous for some missions. But I'd still at least like the option to trigger RTH after loss of signal. A GPS tracker would be nice too.

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

I think you'll find that that majority of users do NOT use Litchi when loss of radio link is a possibility. I could be wrong, but based on what I have read over various forums, most users do not like this rather scary feature.

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

I see that you have since edited your initial response to me to sound a bit more reasonable. (That second sentence you wrote was NOT in your initial post.) I wish people would read other people's posts properly before jumping down their throats.

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

I think you've completely misread what I wrote. I maintain that it is incredibly stupid for Litchi not to provide the option to RTH automatically if the RC signal is lost. This is entirely possible from within DJI Go settings.

Litchi Waypoint Mission -- a couple of scary experiences that have made me much more weary!

I recently attempted a Litchi Waypoint Mission that I had already set up on my computer at home. The first thing I noticed, but didn't realize, is that it's entirely possible to load up a mission and simply hit the Play button on the tablet, and watch the drone take off from the ground and...

    Time to admit it

Over three months ago I got up at 4 am, drove for over an hour in the dark, ascended on foot up a steep and rocky hiking trail (I climbed 2000 feet), reached the summit before sunrise, and thought I had recorded some awesome sunrise shots with the Phantom 4. As I walked back down the trail I was...

Gimbal malfunctioning after minor crash, video still working

Hey no problem. I admit there were a couple of times when I nearly felt like hurling the whole drone across the room! But I think you aren't giving yourself enough credit. You'd be surprised what you can achieve when you put your mind to it.
