Well I am 6'-6" and I catch and launch my P3P by hand to keep it out of the dust, so it is 8' when I grab it with one hand and hold down the throttle for 3-seconds to kill the props. That is how I do it every time and every time it kills the props. Above mentioned is the 3m/s decent speed, so I...
Got a better idea ----- if everything is working fine turn your tablet to airplane mode and you'll never need another update and tell DJI to screw themselves. Same exact thing happened to me. New regs and mandated firmware updates are going to neuter your drone FAA, Congress, everybody wants to...
Well this long thread is a sign of the times we have been transformed into. With the NSA data collection of everything and our digital cameras having GPS on them now and all the confirmed stories about backdoors on smart phones and surveillance cameras at every intersection and all over town and...
I turned off the wi-fi on my tablet and as long as it keeps flying as good as it does now, I may never sync to the internet again. If there is data out there they will store it and think about it later. My local dealer sent me a free app killer program to wipe all the garbage off my Android...
There should be a switch or something else besides the throttle to kill it. Posters have gotten angry and posted diagrams etc, but if you are descending too fast for 3-seconds it will kill the motors---period. When I land or grab my P3P in a bad landing area I just push and hold the throttle...
I lowered the resolution to the controller only and got 1 minute 25 seconds extra flying time on the same course flying as close to the same speed as before, winds were within 2 mph of being the same, and I tried to fly crosswind as much as possible. Looking at the two videos I cannot tell any...
On my P3P you could dramatically drop the resolution on the camera feed to the controller to fly with. It's only a 7" tablet, on my 1.2 gig processor that should not work, but we turned the video feed resolution to the lowest level and the picture is still fantastic and absolutely no video lag...
I am thinking the high resolution video feed from the P3P to controller should shorten the battery duration on the P3P, the pad and controller rarely need to be charged because they both last many times longer than a flight battery.
On my P3P the video is recorded to the micro SD card on the camera, but how do I check the video to fly feed back to the controller is on the lowest resolution? I do not need High Def going to a 7" tablet to fly, I bought a 7" Samsung tablet on a super clearance sale because it was only 8 gig...
The only thing we could see on the white screen was the orientation arrow in the bottom left corner. But I'll look into that thanks, this was my fourth flight so I did not freak out, I had programmed the return to home at 50 meters and that would be above the trees and obstacles where we were...
The P3P throttle does not have to go far below what I call a slow descent to kill the props. We put a piece of masking tape on the controller and marked a safe descent speed and then when it was on the landing pad I was shocked how little more we had pull for 2-3 seconds to kill the motors. So...
Being new to my P3P a buddy flying got a white screen on the tablet, couldn't see anything. He dead sticked it and let it hover out of our sight. Punched return to home and it worked absolutely perfectly. I called my dealer and it took a few seconds walking me threw it to find out my buddy had...
I am a new owner/pilot, and when the dealer was warning me not to descend faster than 2-meters per second or I could turn off the props and crash it. I instantly thought that was the stupidest thing I ever heard of, I called it the "Buy A New Drone Feature". As soon as someone is smart enough to...
