Thanks.
It was lucky that nothing got wrong after a free fall 15 feet. It kept flying 3-5 feet above ground but not following the saved waypoints. There was more than 8 satellites picked up before and after soft crash.
My recent ground station waypoints flight crashed to unexpected soft branches on ascending path between saved Waypoints.
My PV2+ lost control, free fell 15 feet (not touching ground yet) and keep low flying 3 feet above ground like no control. Almost hit a moving vehicle. Just wondering why...
Oh and set your return to home altitude way above those 100 foot trees (versus the 65 foot default)
I know I need to do that but how ? Once I click down to failsafe, it returns automatically, do I have the option to adjust altitude ? I never do it before. please advise.
My friend asks me to take aerial video of his lakeside facing house but there are 100 ft high tall trees between house and lake side.
I know I can manually fly it high and set it to GS waypoints flying paths around his house and lake for easy job.
However, GS Waypoints mode is not able to...
I paused it in between Waypoints and it's hovering in the air, I could tilt the camera lens but unable to take pic or video. I didn't turn on video or picture mode when taking off. Is it normal ?
The best option to take still picture is in GPS CL mode and hover it in the air ?
Thanks.
I want to protect the gimbal and camera while landing on grass or somehow a hard landing if I made mistake.

Thanks. now I recalled my last circle flight was on HL and the circle was big and far from me. Eventually, it hit a small tree and damaged the gimbal. I paid $800+ to service center for this lesson despite the camera was functioning well. I need to boss this point-of-interest...
I remember reading posts about PV2+ 360 degree circle fly operation. It seems very simple, just hold right stick right in Course Lock and it could fly around pilot in fixed diameter.
I'm not sure my memory is correct. Any PV2+ pilot can share his/her experience with me ?
A few flights under GPS waypoints showed Phantom connection lost on phone screen and screen was freeze for a while. I know the signal could be blocked by the buildings or tree. When this warning popup, the PV2+ was keep flying from one waypoint to another, the signal picked up in few seconds...
Thank you so much.
My next crazy question is what happens if I set Waypoint (1) 150 ft high but only 50 ft distance between home point and Waypoint 1 ? In general, my PV2+ climbs gradually to 100 ft high requires more than 150 ft distance.
Youtube PV2+ tutorial video talking about setting Ground Station waypoints autopilot when a high wall was in front of you. The video suggested to take off vertically (manually) until the altitude of PV2+ above the high wall, then resume to GS Waypoints mode and let go, but no detail about the...
I want to follow a running train for 2 km and do aerial filming over it. The train running along the shorelines will make some turns. Therefore, if pV2+ following the train, loss of sight will happen.
Ground Station Waypoints can be one of the easy options but the flying speed is fixed in...
It took off and flying under CL mode.
Should I click to Off on S2 when taking off , then switched to CL when it was in the air ? Then the orientation will under CL control ?
Yes, the nose was pointing North and controller was facing the battery.
It took off smoothly, able to hover in mid air. But when I push right stick forward, it flew to right. If this is nothing wrong with the RC calibration, I will go the physical compass calibration again.
OK. it seems my Mode 1 & 2 assignment are correct.
But why I pushed right stick forward, it moved left and right direction in 45 degree, not even in straight line ? wrong compass calibration ?
