My thanks for pointing out this thread.
My Dealer seems convinced the problem is with the remote control (so, a mechanical issue?) rather than software, and has contacted DJI on my behalf to replace this under warranty.
DJI has acknowledged the request (quick!) so I will see what this produces...
Just want to update here...
Contacted my Dealer (Davesmotors.com) and we did some back-and-forth email solutions:
-make sure the tilt lever is not stripped on its post (wasn't)
-remove is and rotate the Tilt shaft fully L&R to the "stops", while running a X1 Cal in the RC Assist.
Discovered...
Gads first post and it has to be a problem!
Disclaimer: HAVE read thru a bunch of 'no tilt' threads. Nothing seems similar

Freshly mounted 3D - no flight time. Interference board installed
