I would like to see a 360 degree view from maximum allowed allowed altitude somewhere toward the beginning so that I can keep that in mind as I watch the rest of the video. I think that will bring more context to the video as a whole and more of a wow factor too. Great job!
I think your last point is the real difference. The dev teams are probably equally competent from IOS to Android. It is just the myriad of android devices that makes it hard to keep up with QA, where as IOS is strictly controlled and only released to very few devices.
I recommend that everyone fly in ATTITUDE mode once they are comfortable in Position and Sport modes. It saved my bacon when I lost sat connections. I was able to fly home in windy conditions that had I not practiced in ATTITUDE mode many times before, I'm pretty sure I would not have been able...
The tilted horizon was addressed in the prior official release, not just betas. If that issue was not already addressed in an official release then I would agree, but since it has already been addressed in a prior official release then your argument is just a distraction that can go back to the...
Nice attempt at a strawman, but as I said the thread is about the.700 release. If you want to discuss every release from the beginning of the P4 then there are many other distracting red herrings that can be brought up. Let's stick to the .700 release on ts own.
This is from the release notes from DJI...
"What’s New
• Optimized GEO Zone management.
• Optimized aircraft performance to improve stability during flight.
• Fixed an issue that occasionally caused the camera to restart during video recording."
Considering DJI's track record of questionable...
Can you add a poll to this thread to get some real stats on how many upgrades went smoothly and how many had problems? I for one would like to see some numbers before pulling the trigger. Fighting with an upgrade without any real support is not my idea of a fun way to spend a day.
It sounds like you like the same type of flying as me. I make a point of flying in atti mode on a regular basis because it is not something you can learn quickly and especially so in a high pressure situation such as we are discussing in this thread.
My suggested changes would allow you to program it to fly out from under an obstruction and then in whatever direction you chose. It would just be a step in the preflight planning process that could be turned off completely if desired. I agree that these are not very common situations, but I do...
I agree the GPS animation will probably not be of much help when descending close to the cliff face.
When you say "you talk like you anticipate losing control signal and GPS together", you are misinterpreting my expectations during my flight. Being a very conservative pilot, I am simply trying...
I think the stability of the heavier Phantom line provides better quality pics than the Mavic line even if it had exact same sensor, so for those who want high quality airial photos at a reasonable price the Phantom line is still the way to go. For the ease of use and portability the Mavic line...
While "Up - is no guarantee of reconnection" it by far the best chance of reconnecting GPS, the RC, or both. If only GPS reconnects then RTH will take over and bring you home safely. If only RC reconnects then you can fly it back home even without GPS providing you are a good enough pilot. If...
