Are you closing DJI Go out or just putting it in the background? I found the 3rd party apps don't like the Go app being open in the background. Just a thought.
I had the same issue going from 1.5. I tried to go right to 1.8 and all seemed good until the bird started with a constant scream. I tried again with 1.7 and all went well. Then went to 1.8 no issue at all.
I put this up here because people were talking of their already registered "N" numbers and how they were going to display them. This excerpt is stating that the "N" number designation cannot be used for the identification on our Phantoms.:rolleyes:

Just got a chance to give it a trial run. Must say it was very stable and performed without issue, wish same could be said for DJI Go. Have a day planned tomorrow for more extensive testing and flying.
I'm on an iP6+ and all is fine until around 10 minutes into flight. Then lag and video dropouts. I'm thinking the new OS and DJI are using more CPU cycles and causing the phone to heat up more than before. Even in 70*f temps the phone is getting quite a bit hotter than 8.4.1. Hopefully Apple...
