Looks lik is U.K users are gonna get screwed over.

Just like the SNP bringing in licences for airguns. Rules were already in place to stop the misuse of them, but because a druggy broke the existing rules and shot and killed a toddler, they pushed through the law so they must all be licenced. To the point where if I want to take my airgun over...

Phantom 4 Pro high wind velocity

My p4 has started this since the latest update, that also limited it to 30m/50m even after logging in several times. Had to uninstall and reinstall THREE times to get it back working ok.

    Congested Area (CAA)

You'll be fine. The caa classes a congested area as "any area of a city, town or settlement which is substantially used for residential, industrial, commercial or recreational purposes."

Bye bye phantom. It was fun :(

Actually, the 400' is a guideline for hobby use drones, sorry, uav's, less than 7kg. Anything 7-20kg MUST stay below 400', anything over 20kg can only be flown in two areas of the uk, and neither of those places will allow civilian uav use. The "dronecode" is guidance. 400' is GENERALLY...

    Another wrecked bird by newbie

Actually, you can fly all night as long as you can see the bird, and orientate it correctly to avoid any collisions. And with some strobons fitted, you can see/orientate them from a long way away with the naked eye.

UK Drone Laws - Ruined Buildings

If you have full view of all access, and could politely stop anybody approaching whilst within 50m, then you are good to go. That came from the caa. I had the same query

UK Drone Laws - Ruined Buildings

Are you 'in control' of that building ? Can you stop.people accessing it whilst flying ? Yes, and yes. Therefore, you are ok.

They weren't lyin'. 3.2 miles, box stock!!!

The FAA doesn't rule the whole worlds airspace. The FAA rules mean jack shidt to me as I'm several thousand miles away from any airspace controlled by them.

GET OUT OF JAIL FREE - WARRANTY CLAUSE - FAKE ANALYSIS

In OPTIMAL CONDITIONS a P4 in the UK, running CE radio output, should be good for 3.5km. I personally, have gone over 2.5km with no issues at all, but, other days, it disconnects before that, doing the same flight. Besides, if you were sticking to the caa guidelines of 400ft and line of sight...

Phantom3 Pro - Possible Agriculture use??

Most cameras have an ir filer built in. So the cameras used for ir photography have this removed. Try a tv remote, if it shines brightly, you might be ok, but its more likely going to show very dim from the ir filter built in. I was thinking along similar lines, by using ir illumination for...

    Flytron Strobe Lights

At about an hour before sunset, i could see the cree strobe from 2800 yards/8400 feet. Well enough that i could look away, then pick it up again in seconds. I fitted it to a leg facing rearwards, so was fine flying away... So i flew home backwards. Ive ordered more, my theory is, as long as...
