Dual Battery Mod

Wait, so when you're flying with the mod, you have the custom balance connector hooked up? Is that per instruction?
Yes, that's per instruction. The balance connector keeps the cells balanced in flight. That's the main reason it's there, according to FPV Horizon.

This is what FPV wrote me: "When using the mod , while in flight , the balance need to be connected ,it will vary s bit due the the cell performance,"

So how do you connect it? What is meant by the LIPO balance cable? According to that post, you first need to take out the balance board for this to work?

You need to disconnect and reconnect the smart board inside the master battery (not the split pack) to reset it.

FYI for the Midwest Horizon mod. They received by 2x P3 batteries yesterday. I received a shipment notice today. That's freaky fast!

The will be receiving mine tomorrow. This is interesting about the balance connector being connected during flight. We'll all have to compare our numbers when we receive them.

Took your advice and ordered the Horizon V3 Power Mod. I sent them two brand new batteries today, anxious to try it out!

We will all have to post results to see if they are any better than the current battery mods.

Does that need soldering to be undone/done?

No there's a white plug inside with all the balance leads if you pop the cap off

It's got to be better than the 3 additional minutes I was getting with Tunrnigy 4S 1800 or 2400's.

UnknownCaller said ~34 minutes several times so if I'm not getting at least 30 minutes I'll be sad.

They're the best battery mod that I've used. I don't see how you wouldn't get 30 minutes with them. I do all my distance flights with them if there is a better battery mod I would use it and I sure as hell wouldn't tell you guys that was a good battery mod if it wasn't.

Yes it's cold weather I believe unknown caller I seen his flight log 34 mins but he lives in California so that hot weather must make a big difference..
I live in Florida am I Max flight time was 35 minutes and 55 seconds - 6% how are you guys not getting at least 30 minutes? The cold doesn't affect it that much.
