I actually revised this thread I made since the earlier one was already irrelevant. The problem I raised was already solved and here's an update to my gimbal motor overload problem. I will share this here since I do not know how to delete this thread.

Thx. I did this adjustment and my gimbal now aligns correctly at startup, eliminating need to auto calibrate the gimbal every time i fly.

I do this but the gimbal misaligns again after start up .... When I open up the gimbal it misaligned again. What's the problem please?

The opposite end of the gimbal roll motor has a much smaller shaft, that is press fit into the silver colored (sorry, don't know the actual part name) part.
When the OP turns the shaft with pliers, and holds the camera, the shaft is turning in that silver part, and should hold there. I guess yours is slipping.
I'm pretty sure I've read in the many other threads on this issue, that the solution is to get it aligned, the put a tiny amount of super glue on that point (again, the opposite end of the motor from where it's being adjusted)

Edit:
I would try to use the smallest amount of superglue as possible. Don't use the bottle and drip a whole drop on it. I'd use an X-acto knife and just get a droplet so that it gets on one small section of the shaft. You may need to get this apart one day.

Hi,
I used epoxy and lined it up horizontal with the top of the camera housing. It's still tilted on start up. I can calibrate it but after a restart the problem comes back ?!? I took the back off the gimbal to check if the shaft had slipped again but it's lined up perfectly :-(

Where did you apply epoxy?
It's the FRONT end of the roll motor that is slipping in the silver metal cup.
So, let's say you open the rear cover off of the roll motor, power up, and the shaft flat is pointed up as it should be, are you saying that the camera is tilted?

You're spot on in your reply. I epoxied the shaft end that sits in the metal cup. If I take the rear cover off the roll motor and power up, the shaft is flat as it should be .... but there camera is still tilted. I'm beginning to think it's the potentiometer that the D shaft end sits in and that I may have to replace the whole of the board that sits behind the roll motor cover?

Thank you.
Phil

Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. Fixed my problem. However the camera points to the left slightly. Then slowly pans to the centre.
It's people like you, that make other people's life a whole lot easier.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I also tried to rotate the axis with a plier. But I can't turn it, I tried it with quite a bit of force but it didn't work either.
Could it be because I bought a replacement motor from amazon which maybe isn't from DJI?
