I wonder if the cracks by the motors are from high heat if flying too long at one stretch.
I only have two batteries so about 20-40 min is my limit (usually 15 min at a time)
Had my P4 for two years and its still perfect.
A Phantom 4 is hard to beat unless you need the extra megapixels for still photography.
Otherwise the 4g video is more than sufficient.
I am sticking with my Phantom 4 until they put 20MP on the Mavic.
Are there any "Gimbal Protectors" available that do not interfere with the bottom sensors ?
Seems these gimbals are the most fragile of any I have ever had.
The vertical arm is ridiculously fragile, and very susceptible to BENDING.
I saw a guard that went over that arm, but I can not find it...
I sent mine in on 9/19/16 / gimbal tilt - 2 hour labor and about $25 parts -
If I get it next week I will consider myself lucky.
It has been very frustrating that it should take this long.
So - Send it back for replacement if you can.
I don't know why they went to a comparatively narrow 28mm lens.
BIG difference from the 20mm on the P4.
I would MUCH rather have the 20mm.
Maybe by the time all the issues are discovered and addressed, and I'm ready to switch, they will have the 20mm lens as an option.
Actually a zoom would be nice.
There is no doubt, there will be something they need to improve.
Mavic is a whole new technology, with lots of things to be FIELD TESTED.
No doubt they did lots of testing to get to this point, but nothing close to what you all are going to do for them.
I don't understand why anyone would...
Reverse course is a GREAT OPTION with more then 50% battery.
I would like to see it on Litchi, that way you only need to plan mission one way if you want. Less chance of error.
