I have the P4P that uses the iPad and I can boast the same. Just as many years...100% reliability.
I don't like having all my eggs in one basket, so I believe it's better to go with a component-based platform than to have everything married to one unit. JM2C.

Failing POST is a hardware issue. It's tempting to blame firmware, but it's been my experience that firmware doesn't fix a drone (camera/gimbal) that fails POST. That said, it can't hurt to try. Rolling back firmware has been covered extensively and multiple times in this forum.

I use old P4P batteries to run my mobile network. They'll run my wireless router for about 30 hours. I love having the LED capacity lights. Perfect for field operations. Each dot on the battery represents 10 flights. Needless to say, this battery was retired.
I made this well over...
I am no Apple fanboy. But I have to say that all of my iPads have been extremely stable. Honestly, I would find a cheaper, older iPad on eBay and be done with it.
Go 4 App v3.1.1 is the best version. Run that. I've been running Go 4 with my P4P almost as long as you have with nary an issue...
While I won't disagree, it will also offload apps you don't use, even if you use your iPad every day.
The algorithm for offloading apps is, apparently, a secret.
My experience is that it is turned ON or "Enabled" by default.
You have to dive into the menu system to enable or disable it. It...
Just make sure they snap in at both the top AND the bottom. I've read horror stories of batteries falling out mid flight. I imagine an aftermarket locking system may not mesh perfectly. Buyer beware.

I had to look up how long these things last. Minutes? Hours? Days? According to my research, a typical Solar Storm lasts "minutes to hours." But they can also come in succession. The article didn't mention neither length nor subsequent successions for this particular storm. They did say...
What was not working before to make you upgrade? Maybe the old problem you were trying to fix with a firmware upgrade and the new problem are related.

It's really hard to say because I use different cables for different iPads and different scenarios. Most of the time I dock the iPad (Lightning connector) to the controller, so I only need a 1 foot cable. For this I have used the Smavco 12" cable with great success. Since they are so cheap I...
Hmmmmm...I can't say for sure 100%. I use Go4 v3.1.1, which was compatible with a 4 or 5 firmwares I was testing. I'm about 90% sure that all Go4 App versions are compatible with all or most of the firmwares. You won't know for sure until you try. Personally, I would install Go4 v3.1.1 on...
Ahhhh...okay. I'm familiar with the distance capabilities of the P4P (which I imagine is on par with the P4P V2). It doesn't do well over long distances when it loses line of site. And trees definitely attenuate the signal. For a job like that I would look for a tall hill in the center of...
